Actress Denise Darcel dies

Denise Darcel, french-born actress recognized for vampy roles such films as "Vera Cruz" and "Thunder inside the Pines," died 12 ,. 23 inside a La hospital from complications from a crisis surgery to fix a ruptured aneurysm. She was 87.After going to the U.S. in 1947, Darcel starred opposite several leading males in the string of films inside the '50s, including "Battleground" with Van Manley, "Tarzan as well as the Slave Girl" with Lex Barker, "Westward the ladiesInch with Robert Taylor and "Youthful Guy with Ideas" with Glenn Ford.She most infamously carried out a vivacious double-crossing countess in 1954's "Vera Cruz" alongside Burt Lancaster and Gary Cooper.Darcel is managed to get by two sons.
