Trying to find the singer and title to a 1960's song.?

My Dad heard a song at a party in around 1963 with a catchy chorus
which he remembers as "every gal in town is trying to put me down
wearing bloomers". He would like to find the singer and title of the
song. He was initially lead to believe it was Marty Robbins but I've
looked at all the lyrics from his songs between 1960 and 1964 and I
can't find these lyrics. All he knows is it was probably around
christmas 1963 and was Marty Robbins devil woman had already been
released when he heard it. Anyone any ideas to put this 47yr old
mystery to rest.
